Get your little engineers ready early for a morning of food and fun. Enjoy breakfast in A Taste of History with music by the Picks & Sticks String band, railroad-themed storytelling and a visit with our very own Village Hobo.

Also included with your program and meal is special access parking in the Eagle Tavern parking lot, and admission to Greenfield Village for the entire day.

Civil War Remembrance

During Memorial Day weekend, we invite you to become a part of living history as you travel through a microcosm of American Civil War. Union and Confederate soldier re-enactors, civilians, musicians and historic presenters—all in period costume—are eager to immerse you in the life of this turbulent American era. Civil War Remembrance is free to members and free with Greenfield Village admission.
Historic Baseball Games
Every Sat & Sun from June 12 - August 8 and August 21-22, 2010 (1:30pm)
Every summer weekend our historic baseball clubs, the Lah-De-Dahs and the Nationals suit up to compete with outside historic clubs from around the Midwest. Stretch out on a grassy hillside and enjoy the game, played by 1867 rules. It’s a wonderful family sporting experience chock-full of thrills, excitement, good music and good food—everything that has made baseball America’s favorite pastime for over a century. Historic Baseball Games are free to members and free with Greenfield Village admission.

Motor Muster
June 19-20, 2010 (Open Saturday 'til 9pm)
Cruise down memory lane all weekend and view a fantastic exhibition of more than 700 cars, bicycles, motorcycles, trucks and other vehicles from the 1930s to the 1970s. Step back to the glorious era of American muscle cars and enjoy demonstrations, pass-in-review parades, expert historic insights, hands-on activities, food, music and more. This year, see the 1953 GM Futurliner. Motor Muster is free to members and free with Greenfield Village admission.
18th Annual Salute to America
July 1-4, 2010 (6pm to 10pm)
Join us in Greenfield Village as we strike up the band for our spectacular concert series, Salute to America. Walnut Grove historic district is transformed into a patriotic sea of red, white and blue as the Detroit Symphony Orchestra presents a rousing program of American musical favorites in celebration of Independence Day. Picnic, relax, enjoy the music and get ready for one of the area’s finest fireworks finales. Members of The Henry Ford receive discount admission for this event.
Ragtime Street Fair
July 24-25, 2010 (Open Saturday 'til 9pm)
Come dance, enjoy and celebrate Ragtime in Greenfield Village all weekend long. Our popular new signature event focuses on the early "jazz age" of 20th-century America’s first decades. The unique, ragged rhythms of this hugely popular genre present the background for two days of dancing, music, drama, parades and fantastic food. Ragtime Street Fair is free to members and free with Greenfield Village admission.

World Tournament of Historic BaseballTM
August 14-15, 2010 (Open Saturday 'til 9pm)
Step back in time to 1867 as vintage baseball clubs from around the country compete by the game’s early rules in the greatest two-day exposition of historic baseball ever seen! Clubs engage for two days in throwing, batting, and spitfire competition until only one is left to be declared champion of World Tournament of Historic BaseballTM. Add music food, drama and legendary sports artifacts and you’ve got everything that made baseball our great national pastime. The World Tournament of Historic BaseballTM is free to members and free with Greenfield Village admission.

Old Car Festival
September 11-12, 2010 (Open Saturday 'til 9pm)
This Old Car Festival weekend, take in the spectacle as the streets and grounds of Greenfield Village are filled with the sights, sounds, and smells of hundreds of authentic vehicles from the 1890s through 1932. Enjoy a self-guided tour through this fabulous expositions and talk to proud owners about their treasured vehicles. Watch drivers engage in games of skill, see a Model T assembled in just minutes, attend fascinating presentations, and sit back and enjoy our experts sharing "car talks" while vintage vehicles pass by.

Local Roots Fall Eagle Tavern Evening Dining

Fall Season Farmers Market
September 25 & October 2, 2010
Enjoy an open air farm market where you can purchase local grains and baking mixes, handcrafted creations from Greenfield Village’s Herb Society, organic breads, local farm fresh produce, pumpkins, meats, honey, apples from local farmers and more.

This event is rain or shine. The Fall Season Farmers Market is free to members and free with Greenfield Village admission.
Halloween in Greenfield Village
October 8-10, 15-17 and 22-24, 2010 (Time slots are every 1/2 hour 6:30pm-9pm Fridays & Saturdays. Sundays 6:30pm - 8pm)
Step back in time to a turn-of-the-20th century Hallowe’en. Follow an endless path of hand-carved jack-o-lanterns and meet colorful characters along the way. Feel the whoosh as the headless horseman rides by, banter with a clever witch, and make stops at several treat stations spread throughout Greenfield Village. Holiday Nights Supper with Santa Package

Following your horse-drawn wagon ride to A Taste of History Restaurant, your family will partake in a casual cafeteria-style holiday turkey dinner, perfect for kids! You’ll also be able to make a festive table decoration and hear a fun story to get you in the mood for your visit into lantern-lit Greenfield Village. As a separate treat, Santa Claus will be on hand and make a personal visit to each table!
